How to Use RaNA-seq: A Guide to RNA-Seq Data Analysis

Last updated: February 9, 2026

What is RaNA-seq?

RaNA-seq is a tool that allows you to perform RNA-Seq data analysis directly in your web browser. Starting from FASTQ files, you can perform tasks ranging from extracting differentially expressed genes to functional analysis. This page introduces how to use RaNA-seq. While RaNA-seq is free to use, the server can sometimes be unstable and some operations may be counterintuitive. If you are looking for an alternative, please also consider the RNA-Seq Data Analysis Software provided by our company.

Clicking "Analysis" in the menu will display the user registration screen shown below. You can also start without logging in by selecting "Anonymous access."

Uploading Samples

Once logged in, the following screen will appear. After selecting the reference sequence in "Reference genome assembly" and choosing between single-end or paired-end for the "Sequencing type," proceed to upload your FASTQ files via "Select your FASTQ Files." Depending on the file size, the upload process may take some time.

Quality Control

After the upload is complete, click "Quality Control" on the following screen to check the QC results.
