What is RNA Molecular Weight?

The molecular weight (MW) of RNA is calculated by summing the molecular weights of each ribonucleotide residue in the sequence. It is essential for RNA quantification and molar concentration calculations.

How It Works

  • The tool sums the residue molecular weight of each ribonucleotide in the sequence and applies a terminal group correction.
  • Nucleotide residue weights: AMP = 329.21, UMP = 306.17, CMP = 305.18, GMP = 345.21
  • When ambiguity codes (R, Y, M, K, S, W, B, D, H, V, N) are present, the molecular weight is displayed as a range (min ~ max).

Description

  • Accepted characters: A, U, G, C and IUPAC ambiguity codes (R, Y, M, K, S, W, B, D, H, V, N).
  • Both uppercase and lowercase letters are accepted.
  • Numbers, spaces, and line breaks are automatically ignored.

RNA-Seq Data Analysis Software

This is an RNA-Seq Data Analysis Software recommended for those who:

✔︎ Seeking to avoid outsourcing or collaboration for RNA-Seq data analysis.

✔︎ Lacking time to learn RNA-Seq data analysis.

✔︎ Frustrated by the complexity of existing tools.

overview

Users can perform gene expression quantification, identification of differentially expressed genes, gene ontology(GO) analysis, pathway analysis, as well as drawing volcano plots, MA plots, and heatmaps.
